Math Placement Exam
The Math Placement Online Exam is required for any student that plans to take a Math 116 or higher course. All students planning to major in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering must take both Algebra and Trigonometry placement exams to be properly advised. Online exams must be completed by 10:00 p.m. (Central Time) at least 4 business days before the scheduled orientation date. There is a 30 minute limit which begins when you start the test.

Bowling Green Community College students must take the Accuplacer instead of the Math Placement Exam. Accuplacer may be taken in advance at South Campus or in person during ATP. Call (270) 780-2550 for more information about BGCC.

Before taking the Math Placement Exam, you must have the following:
- Mozilla Firefox (the most recent version available) as your web browser (If you do not have the most recent version of Mozilla Firefox, you may download it by clicking here.)
- High speed internet
- WKU ID# (begins with “800”)
- Enough time to read the instructions and take the exam in 30 minutes or less

Using the most recent version of Mozilla Firefox, paste the address in the address line, and this will take you to the exam site.
NOTE: If you do not use the most recent version Mozilla Firefox as your web browser, most of the questions will be displayed inaccurately. You will likely receive a low score on the placement exam, and you will not be allowed another attempt.

Chemistry Placement Exam
The Chemistry Placement Exam is taken in person during orientation for students whose major require this exam. Click here for a list of majors that must take the Chemistry Placement Exam. Community College students are not required to take this exam.
Foreign Language Placement Exam
This exam is available online for students who require it. This exam must be taken 7-10 days before the scheduled orientation date. Click here to go to the Foreign Language website. Community College students are not required to take this exam. |
