Residency Information (click for more)

At WKU, a residency determination is made based on
information supplied by each applicant for admission.  In
general, in-state residence for tuition purposes requires
domicile and legal residency in Kentucky prior to enrollment. 
Upon acceptance to the university, students are informed of
the residency decision via the personalized profile sheet that
accompanies each admission letter.

WKU offers 88 academic majors and 57 minors including
award-winning programs such as Nursing, Journalism and
Broadcasting, Forensics and many, many more. We are
home to Kentucky's only independent Honors College and
offer engaging programs across the board to ensure that you
will have access to the latest technology and resources to
gain a competitive edge in your professional future within
today's global marketplace.

We understand that as a high school guidance counselor you
seek to provide the most up-to-date information to your
students in the simplest way possible. Our guidance

New Student Orientation (click for more)

The Academic Transitions Program is a required orientation for all new WKU students. Freshman ATP is a one-day orientation and offers students informational sessions, meet the dean, register for classes, parent programs, academic advising and more. Students who arrive late or leave early will be required to reschedule for another orientation date.

WKU also offers incoming transfer students a special online orientation option. This is ONLY available for students transferring into WKU with 24 hours of earned credit or more.
