Please PRINT and READ these instructions BEFORE you begin the exam.

Registering for the Math Placement Exam

The following directions will walk you through the exam process: 

1. Once you click“Click here to continue” at the bottom of this page, a new page will load taking you to the math placement exam.
2. Once on the WebClass page, click “Placement Exams" in the gray box on the left.
3. In the “Select An Exam Session” box, press the down arrow and select “WKU ALGEBRA”. To take the Trigonometry exam, press the down arrow and select “WKU TRIG”.
4. Your password is WKU (all caps).
5. Then click Proctor Login.  This will send you to the exam registration page. 
6. Enter your first and last name, last 4 digits of your Social Security Number and your 9-digit WKU ID #, which begins with “800”.
7. Once you click “Start Examination”, your time begins. You must complete this exam in less than 30 minutes. The Count Time is listed in the upper left corner of your screen.
8. To begin with the first question, click box “1” in the top left corner.
9. After selecting the answer, click “Next Question” at the top of the screen and continue with each question. Question numbers will turn yellow at the top of your screen once an answer has been selected.
10. After you complete all questions, click “Go to Submit Button Page” in top right corner.
11. On the left, click “Submit & Record Results”.
12. Once your test is submitted, your results will display. Your official time will be the time you pressed the submit button. You may exit the exam at any point after the scores have displayed.

If your major requires a calculus course, please go to http://www.wku.edu/Info/Admissions/mathexam.html and repeat the steps above. Select “WKU TRIG” as your session name as listed in step 3 in these instructions.
