Amanda Coates Lich graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration.  She received her Master of Public Administration in 2002 from the University of Kentucky.  She has completed all coursework toward her Doctorate in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at UK with her research topic focusing on women and philanthropy.

After serving in fundraising roles at Kentucky Children’s Hospital and the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation, Amanda was pleased to return home to WKU as Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.  She later joined the development team as a Director of Development and brings 8 years of fundraising experiences to her position.
Currently, Amanda works with the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, the Honors College and the Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky.  Additionally, she coordinates the WKU Sisterhood, the award-winning women’s philanthropy organization at WKU, and has presented development “best practices” at state and national conferences.
The most rewarding part of Amanda’s job is matching university priorities with a donor’s time, talent or treasure.  Whether she is working with a prospect to secure a major gift for scholarships or parachuting tandem to support the WKU ROTC program, her position offers rewarding experiences with others who love WKU!

Amanda and her husband, Stewart, reside in Brownsville with their three children, Ava Kate, Cam and Jack.
