Curtis & Sharon Sullivan

 Curtis & Sharon Sullivan of Bowling Green, Ky. made a $25,000 gift to create the Sullivan Minority Curtis & Sharon Sullivan Teacher Scholarship within the office of Minority Teacher Recruitment at WKU.

The scholarship program will support minority teacher education students from Bowling Green and Warren County who are committed to teaching within the community after graduation.

"Our intent is to assist in the recruitment of highly qualified minority teachers for our City and County school systems. Many minority students come to Western with incentives to return to their communities and teach upon graduation. This scholarship is designed to encourage these graduates to apply for employment and teach in Bowling Green and Warren County."
