Robert and Jan Hensley

Jan and Robert Hensley of Bowling Green recently made a gift to create the Robert B. and Jan Hensley Scholarship.

Robert ('56, '58) and Jan ('72) have made numerous contributions to Western, including a 1998 gift to establish the Mary E. Hensley Lecture Series in memory of his mother.

Mr. Hensley, an attorney in Horse Cave,Ky., says he has always felt strongly about the education he received at Western. "It played an important part in my personal development and prepared me well," he said."I have fond memories from my days as a student."

"There was always such a spirit of camaraderie and fellowship. Jan and I hope our support fosters that type of atmosphere for many years to come. We want Western to still be that truly unique place.”
