Theresa Clark has served as WKU’s Prospect Research Coordinator since August 2006. She joined the Development staff as Research and Stewardship Assistant in July 2005. Clark has worked a variety of jobs while living in Bowling Green – as a legal secretary, a financial services assistant, as well as a children’s ministry volunteer.
A native of Colorado, her love for horses and writing led her to Tennessee in 1984 after earning her B.S. in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University. Clark worked as a local correspondent for the Saddle Horse Report while in college and then transitioned to an office position upon graduation. During her two years with SHR, she travelled the country covering horse shows featuring her two favorite breeds, American Saddlebreds and Morgans.
Clark’s husband, David, a Kentucky native, made her a full-time Kentuckian in 1986. The Clarks have two daughters, Laura Clark Hervey (married to son-in-law Nic), a Campbellsville University graduate and Andrea, an art major at University of Kentucky. While David is the only WKU grad, all family members are partial to things on the Hill as it has played a big part in their lives – whether by cheering on the Hilltoppers in sports or by participating in academic or artistic events.
Outside of work, Clark also serves as treasurer for her church as well as a Sunday School teacher and member of the Worship Team.
