I was already aware of the Basic Brewing podcasts and the great information that comes from that show. One week I decided to send some feedback to the show about how much I enjoyed it and how I recommend the podcasts to my students. The host of the show, James Spencer, responded with some very positive feedback, so I decided to send him the class materials. He asked me to do an interview, so I did. We talked about a wide range of subjects over the course of the interview, including how a course like this gets taught, the role of alcohol abuse in student life, and a general history of beer. The host, as one would expect, is incredibly knowledgeable on the subject, and I had to work hard to keep up.
