Britain - Summer 2004
June 2nd to June 29th

Geoscience:  Geography 469/469G (or 571)
Geography of the British Isles  -
or Geography 101 Introduction to Human Geography or Geography 100 Introduction to Physical Geography
Examines the development, land-use, and natural resource issues shaping contemporary Britain.  Each of these courses offer 3 credits toward the Geography Major (both Geog 101 and 100 can be aplied to General Education categories C and D respectively) and can be applied to other program requirements and electives.  These courses will be taught by Debbie Kreitzer and Will Blackburn.

 
Or Independent Study:  Geography 475/571
Independent supervised research project that focuses on an aspect of sustainable development, geoscience, national park management, resource issues, or landscape change.

Visit cosmopolitan Manchester, Liverpool and the home of the Beatles, the Lake District, rural Wales, Snowdonia National Park, the Scottish Islands, Oban, Loch Ness (monster not guaranteed!), Inverness, Northern Ireland, Dublin, Shannon, and other fabulous locations!!  Approximate cost is $3,200, which does not include  3 hours of tuition (an additional 3 hours of independent study can be taken in Spring or Fall 2004)!
