Earth Science Week is October 12-19, 2002. Starting planning activities now!
Last year's (October 7-13, 2001) ESW theme was Evolution and the Fossil Record. There is a web site pertaining to the Earth Science week.

The Earth Science week site also shows what activities are happening in Kentucky (check out Kentucky on the web).

The American Geological Institute along with the Paleontological Society have put together a wonderful primer on this year's theme, available from the AGI website.
