hat is This About?

We began work in Jordan in January 2006. Over the next 18-months, the IJMMT worked with two partners. The Princess Basma Youth Resource Center in Amman and Yarmouk University in Irbid in north Jordan. With the PBYRC, the goal was to establish a radio production unit.

At Yarmouk University, we would build the first-ever community radio station at a Jordanian university and guide the development of new courses to integrate Yarmouk FM into the curriculum.

 

 

Phase 2 is underway. The plan is to build a second community radio station, originating in Amman, and completing the curriculum development with yarmouk. In the process, Yarmouk FM will also be upgraded to make it of more value to the student who will one day be the media leaders in Jordan.
