Call BlockThis feature screens incoming calls that are on your Call Block list. Any number you add to this list, when they call your number, will be forwarded to an announcement informing them that their call is not accepted. To activate Call Block:
To cancel Call Block, get a dial tone and dial *80 Return to topCall Forwarding (Busy)This feature will forward all incoming calls to a particular number when your phone is busy. To program the number you want the calls forwarded to:
If you need to change the number that calls are forwarded to, repeat the preceding steps. The above steps do NOT activate the call forwarding; they just tell the phone what number to forward your calls to. To activate the call forwarding, get a dial tone and dial *104 To cancel the call forwarding, get a dial tone and dial *105. After hearing the confirmation tone, you may hang up. Return to topCall Forwarding (No Answer)This feature works the same as Call Forwarding Busy, except in this case the calls will be forwarded after your phone rings a few times without being answered. To program the number you want the calls forwarded to:
If you need to change the number that calls are forwarded to, repeat the preceding steps. The above steps do NOT activate the call forwarding; they just tell the phone what number to forward your calls to. To activate the call forwarding, get a dial tone and dial *114 To cancel the call forwarding, dial *115. You may hang up after you hear the confirmation tone. Return to topCall Forwarding (Variable)This type of call forwarding takes all incoming calls and immediately forwards them to another phone, regardless of the status of your phone. To activate this feature:
To cancel the call forwarding, get a dial tone and dial *73. Once you hear the confirmation tone you may hang up. Return to topCall HoldCall Hold, as the name suggests, puts a current call on hold. While that call is on hold, you are free to make or answer another call. To put a call on hold:
Once the call is on hold, do NOT hang up the handset. Hanging up the handest is how you take the caller OFF hold: once you hang up, your phone will start to ring. When you pick it up you will be connected back with the call you put on hold. If you receive a second call while your first call is on hold, you can alternate between the two by repeating the above procedure (press switchhook, dial *168). Return to topCall ParkCall Park is similar to Call Hold, except that when you park a call you can then do more from your telephone than if you had a call on hold. While a call is parked you can make and receive other calls from your phone, answer a call-waiting tone, pick up calls to other stations, or return to a previously held call. There are two ways to park a call. One is to park a call against your own phone; the other is to park a call against another number inside your company. To park a call against your own phone:
To retrieve a call parked against your phone, repeat the above steps using *98 instead of *84. After dialing *98, the call will no longer be parked and conversation can resume. To park a call against another number in your system, repeat the first two steps of the above procedure using the code *167 in place of *84. After dialing *167, dial the number you wish to park the call against. To retrieve a call parked against another line, repeat the *167 procedure using *171 instead. Return to topCall PickupCall Pickup lets you pick up any call ringing to any phone in your call pickup group. To pick up a call to another phone (if you're not on the phone):
To use Call Pickup while you're on the phone:
Call ReturnThis feature allows you to dial back your last incoming call regardless of whether or not you know the telephone number. To use Call Return, get a dial tone and dial *69. Afterwards, listen for the announcement and instructions. To cancel Call Return, get a dial tone and dial *89. Return to topCall SelectorThis acts kind of like a "buddy list" for telephone numbers. Numbers that are programmed into Call Selector, when they call your phone, will cause your phone to distinctly ring. To use Call Selector:
Dial Call WaitingDial Call Waiting lets you send a call waiting tone to any busy number inside your company. To activate Dial Call Waiting:
Preferred Call ForwardingThis acts as a "selective" call forwarding, in that certain numbers (which you select) will be routed to another location. Any other numbers that call will ring to your phone like a normal phone call. This feature takes precedence over the other Call Forwarding features. To use Preferred Call Forwarding:
To cancel this feature, dial *83 Return to topRepeat DialingThis is essentially redialing and automatic callback in one feature. If the number you're calling back is busy, you will hear an announcement telling you that when your number and the number you called are both available, at which time you will hear a distinctive ring. When you pick up the phone, a call will automatically be placed to that number. To use this feature:
To cancel this feature, dial *86 Return to topSpeed Calling (Short)This feature allows you to store up to six frequently dialed numbers under a single digit. You can then dial that number by dialing "*" plus the single digit (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7). The number you store can be as long as 32 digits. This allows numbers such as card numbers or authorization codes to be stored. To program a number for Speed Calling:
If you need to re-program or change a stored number, simply repeat the above steps. To dial a number using Speed Calling, dial * plus the Speed Calling code (2-7). Return to top | ||
