Smartlaunch Upgrade
Currently, University Libraries, in cooperation with Information Technology, provides network access to several CD-ROM databases (over 50 CD-ROM discs of information available from the network). For students, access to these databases is provided via software called Smartlaunch. For faculty, access is provided via CD-Mapper. CD-Mapper has been very useful, but has become obsolete.
In an attempt to provide better CD-ROM access to faculty desktops, we are moving faculty to the Smartlaunch interface as well.
In order to run SmartLaunch, you will need to install the Smartlaunch client kit. Once the client kit is installed, you simply run SmartLaunch from the Library Databases folder of the new WKUNET (NAL) interface. If you are still running the old WKUNET interface, you will need to upgrade to the new WKUNET (NAL) interface before you proceed.
