Photographing the Scene

Photographing the crime scene is the third step in the protocol.
Photography records a pictorial view of what the scene looks like
and records items of evidence. Crime scene photographs are
generally taken in two categories, overall views and items of
evidence. A proper understanding of photographic lighting,
distortion and proper lens and camera selection is necessary
for adequately properly recording a scene.
