Crime
Prevention Week
Each
Fall semester, WKU Police, in partnership with residence life, conducts
a Crime Prevention Week in September. The Crime Prevention Week is an
opportunity for students to become more aware of possible crime threats
and issues that affect the welfare of students life at the University.
Topics
vary as to current issues and relative needs. Alcohol Abuse, underage
drinking and DUI, Theft prevention, Drug Awareness and Identification,
and Self Protection and Sexual Assault Prevention programs are
conducted in participating residence halls. Mock DUI arrests and bike
patrol demonstrations on campus grounds also attract curious students.
