Submitting a Proposal
The Proposal Sign-Off Process
A process in obtaining all required University approval before submitting the proposal to the sponsor.
The proposal Sign-off Sheet is an internal form for documentation of the University's official approval of the plans and commitments contained in proposals to external sponsors. This form should be completed for all external sponsors. It should be completed and routed along with the complete proposal narrative, proposal guidelines, budget, and budget narrative to all appropriate officials -Department Head, Dean (or Dean's designee)/Vice President (or designee), and the Office of Sponsored Programs Director - before the proposal is submitted to an external sponsor.
Project Directors are reminded that each office which signs the proposal Sign-off Sheet requires time to review the proposal and other documents. Please allow at least 5 working days for the internal review and processing of transmittal sheet, budget, and proposal narrative. It is courteous to provide a copy of the proposal for those offices which wish to retain one for their files.
