New Employee Safety Training


Description:

The goal of this training is to inform new Western Kentucky University employees about safety procedures that should be used during their time in the workplace. Areas covered will include Blood-Borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication, Fire Extinguisher Safety, Asbestos Awareness and Radiation Safety. Employees will also receive other safety classes as deemed necessary by the WKU Department of Environment, Health & Safety.

Who Should Attend:

OSHA requires all new hires to WKU who will be working in a facilities capacity, or in a laboratory setting. All new hires must be trained within 90 days of their start/hire date.

Offered:

Once every 30 days. (Class size has been limited to 30 people per session)

Duration:

8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
