Tuition Waiver and Discount Program...


Employee Waivers - Full-time employees are eligible to have tuition and mandatory fees, (excluding course fees, student teaching fees and other similar fees) remitted for up to six (6) hours per semester or summer term at WKU or any other Kentucky postsecondary educational institution. Employees must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale on their WKU grade point average.

Spousal Discounts - The University provides a 50% tuition discount (excluding course fees, student teaching fees and other similar fees) for spouses of full-time employees. A grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale must be maintained.

Dependent Child Discounts - The University will provide a 50% discount on in-state tuition and fees (excluding course fees, student teaching fees and other similar fees) for the dependent children of full-time employees. The dependent child must be an undergraduate, degree-seeking student at WKU and must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale. Students must be dependents of the employee as defined by the Internal Revenue Service.

This program does not apply to non-credit courses, continuing education courses or community education courses. Audit and correspondence courses are covered.
