After a long period of research and deliberation,WKU has awarded Johnson Controls the Energy Savings Performance Contract. This initiative allows us to improve and update our current infrastructure for energy efficiency. The contract can include projects from metering every campus building, to installing occupancy sensors in classrooms, to installing software for energy efficiency on campus computers, to some renewable energy applications such as wind and solar. The contract is funded through guaranteed energy savings. A Johnson Controls team will be auditing the campus to formulate a plan in the coming months |
