Unit Productivity, Priority Initiative and Exemplary Achievement Awards recognize the contributions of departments and units within the Division of Academic Affairs in advancing the university mission and priorities.
Academic departments are eligible to apply for an overall Unit Productivity and one Priority Initiative Award per year. These award categories are intended to reward the collective and integrated efforts of units towards advancing identified divisional priorities, versus simply the professional accomplishments of individual faculty and staff. Unit Productivity and Priority Initiative Awards are intended to recognize accomplishments over the most recent academic year, and are based on units’ documentation of relevant achievements and best practices, as well as data on measurable outcomes and indicators of success.
Academic support units are eligible to apply for an Exemplary Achievement Award each year. This award category acknowledges the critical role of units that support engaged teaching and learning, student enrollment, retention and success, as well as other university academic priorities. Exemplary Achievement Awards are intended to recognize achievements during the most recent academic year that go above and beyond the normal responsibilities and operations of the unit.
Applications are solicited annually from departments and units. The application packet must include both the appropriate Application Form as well as a copy of the unit’s Year-End Progress Report. All applications should be submitted electronically using the procedures and templates provided on this page.
