Guide for Part-Time Faculty
Attendance All faculty members have responsibility for recording the attendance and absence of their students. Faculty may be requested periodically to give information concerning attendance or verification of the last date of attendance. Therefore, faculty are advised to check the roll at each class meeting. Attendance policies may vary from department to department and, occasionally, from course to course. Faculty, thus, must know the appropriate policy and present it to the students in writing as part of the course syllabus.
