On The Road with PEP

To show students first hand the interconnectedness of politics and communication, PEP team member, Dr. Jenifer Lewis, escorted a group of political communication seminar students to the nation's capitol. Students visited Capitol Hill and met with Congressman Ron Lewis (R-KY), Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Alexander Lamar's ( R- TN ) press secretary. Students also visited the National Communication Association offices with Mitchell McKinney (WKU graduate), NCA Director of Academic & Professional Affairs. Dr. McKinney's research in political communication was of special interest to the students.
