Information for Guests

From I-65 North (heading south): Take the second Bowling Green exit #26 and turn right onto Highway 234 - Cemetery Road. Follow 234 for 4.1 miles through six traffic lights. The name of the road will change from Cemetery Road to Fairview Avenue to 6th Avenue. Turn left at the seventh light onto College Street. Then go through five traffic lights to the top of the Hill in front of Cherry Hall. Turn right, go down the Hill and bear to the left onto Avenue of Champions. Go 0.3 mile and Diddle Arena will be on your right.

From Natcher Parkway (heading south): Take exit 7 of Natcher Parkway and turn right onto US 231 (Morgantown Road). Follow Morgantown Road 2.5 miles into Bowling Green. At the 3rd traffic light, which is the junction of US 231 and US 68-80, turn left onto Russellville Road, travel 0.2 mile to University Blvd, and turn left onto University Blvd. Go 0.3 mile and Diddle Arena will be on your right.

From I-65 South (heading north): Follow I-65 north to Bowling Green. Take exit 20 (Natcher Parkway) and follow the Parkway north to exit 4 (US 31W). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto US 31W (Nashville Road) and go 2.8 miles to the 7th traffic light, and turn left onto University Blvd (Business 231). Stay on University Blvd through 3 traffic lights, and Diddle Arena will be on your right.

Commencement participants and guests are strongly advised to plan their arrival with sufficient time to locate parking. Both parking structures will be available for parking. In addition, several parking lots are located within comfortable walking distance of Diddle Arena. Refer to the map of parking locations located at www.wku.edu/transportation. A limited number of parking spaces have been reserved in the parking lot adjacent to the stadium for all individuals who posses a handicapped parking permit, and that reserved area is located in front of Diddle Arena across from DUC.

Candidates for graduation will have seating on the floor of Diddle Arena. All seats for families and guests of the graduates are available on a first come, first served basis. It is recommended that guests be seated 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Special seating will be available for guests with mobility impairments. Prior arrangements do not need to be made for these guests.

The commencement ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. (CST) in E. A. Diddle Arena. Names of all degree candidates in attendance will be called during the ceremony, and the ceremony is expected to last approximately 2 hours.

DVD's of the ceremony are available for $35 each and can be ordered at the commencement ceremony. Orders after December 19 can be placed at www.wkyupbs.org and inquiries should be make to WKYU-PBS at (800) 599-2424.

Commencement ceremonies will also be webcast live on WKU Sports.tv Streaming Video available at http://www.wkusports.com. Only press photographers and the official commencement photographer will be allowed on the ground level during the ceremony. For your convenience, we have made arrangements with GradTrak Graduation Images to record the moment graduates are personally recognized.

Commencement weekend will be very busy with other activities in the Bowling Green community. If overnight accommodations are necessary, it is recommended that reservations be made immediately.

Java City and Energy Zone, located in the Downing University Center, will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Commencement day. Fresh Food Company will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
