Professional Development for Teachers of Gifted Students:
|
|
Educators have needs for effective professional development if they are to remove the learning ceiling for
children who are gifted and talented. Effective professional development is ongoing within a school and
district, and it is planned to provide options for educators, just as classroom teachers must differentiate
learning opportunities for a wide range of learners in their classrooms. The one-size-fits-all approach to
professional development works no better than the one-size-fits-all approach to teaching in the classroom.
The Center has been the largest provider of professional development in gifted education in Kentucky since 1985.
