A gifted student could be one who performs at an exceptionally high level in math or writing or science or another content area. Or, a gifted child could be one who is especially creative or an effective leader or tremendously talented in the visual or performing arts.

Gifted children have needs arising from these strengths. The Center believes that all gifted children deserve to have their needs addressed. But in order to address the needs of gifted children properly, students, educators and parents must be involved. Contact The Center with questions about gifted education, advocating for gifted young people, professional development opportunities for educators, and/or academic enrichment opportunities for gifted young people.
