Nathan Phelps, Freshman Seminar
Ginny Pfohl, Psychology

Disadvantages:

Discussion Questions:
-Should we create more/different combinations of classes?
-Should all UC 101 be linked to at least one other class?

Learning Community collaboration has both advantages and costs. Collaboration, of course, takes time, and working with other faculty to structure a coherent inter-disciplinary block can be a demanding undertaking.

The downside of learning communities, even though students liked the idea of getting to know people initially, because they had 3 linked classes, toward the end of the semester they felt it somewhat limited their opportunity to meet more new people.
