Advantages:
Once the students have a clear understanding of expectations,
they are
likely to maintain their behavior within the perimeters set
by the
individual faculty member.
The vast majority of students attending the university, do
so within the existing guidelines and have a satisfying educational
experience. Early interaction with families and students has
been successful in laying the groundwork for appropriate behavior.
Early interaction sets the parameter of behavior and explains
the consequences of non-compliance. The WKUPD has had, an overall,
positive experiences with early and frequent student interaction.
