Teaching Activities:

  1. Select a unit of study to use to apply the concepts from this workshop.
  2. Outline the steps you will take to design an integrated unit of study.
  3. Contact other faculty for collaboration in preparing and teaching the unit.
  4. Design learning activities around a broad theme, with subtopics, to serve as a framework for interdisciplinary content in the teaching/learning activities.
  5. Determine what information you have gleaned from completing the Diverse Learning Styles Questionnaire and how to apply it your instructional design.
  6. Experiment with “best practices” instructional strategies. (Click Here) for a Word document of the Suggested Multi-modal Teaching/Assessment Best Practices Chart.
  7. Solicit responses from students regarding favored teaching/assessment activities.
  8. Reflect upon the process and document observations about this style of instruction and assessment.
