Who are Nontraditional students?

According to the WKU Fact Book (2001), "undergraduates 25 and older are considered nontraditional students" (p. 19).

The WKU Fact Book also provides the following information about WKU nontraditional students:

22% of students at WKU are nontraditional
One of every five undergraduate students is nontraditional
The average undergraduate attending WKU is 23 years old
The average Western graduate student is 33 years old
The oldest student at Western is 90 years old
The oldest degree-seeking student is 80 years old. (p. 18)
