Strengths: Most of them are willing to seek advice from an advisor in a department. They are looking for someone who will 'adopt' them into their major! 40% of WKU's entering freshman graduate in the top 25% of their high school class and 3 out of 5 have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher (Facts 1). WKU pulls 85% of its students from in-state, so many students are familiar with Bowling Green and the university, which may raise their comfort levels, especially first-time freshman trying to decide on a major (Fact Book 22).
