Ony two public universities in the Kentucky higher education system grant
doctoral degrees: the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville.
There are six regional universities: Eastern Kentucky University,
Kentucky State University, Morehead State University, Murray State University,
Northern Kentucky University, and Western Kentucky University. These regional

UL in a few programs. WKU participates in cooperative doctoral degrees
in education with both UK and UL and in cooperative doctoral degrees
