Partnerships and Their Importance
The Center for Training & Development’s (CTD) staff firmly believes that our customers are better served when we have synergy with other groups who provide a myriad of services. Strong relationships are the main focus for the CTD partnership model.
Partnerships and collaborations are tools for group problem solving, decision making, and action. Some partnerships are productive groups that benefit members and their constituencies.
Keys to successful partnerships must have the following:
- real purpose
- a mission and a vision
- a champion
- the right members
- members who value the shared performance more than the individual performance
- be inclusive
- sufficient resources
- be accountable
- clearly defined roles and responsibilities
- a plan for dealing with conflict*
