Seeing the need for a professional group of student ambassadors in the WKU Honors College, HonorsToppers was created in April 2006 by student assistant, Lindsey B. Thurman, under the direction of Dr. Craig T. Cobane. The inaugural 2006-2007 class included 17 members, and was led by elected officers, George Eklund, Coordinator of Membership; and Ashley Belcher, Coordinator of Events.
