Shane Bradley
With a strong background in technology, you won’t be surprised to know that Shane’s has been nicknamed “the Wiz” of the Honors College. Actually, we don’t simply credit the Wiz with knowledge of networking, computer construction (or destruction, when needed), and programming, Shane is the Wiz when it comes to any piece of technology (just ask Dr. Cobane who he called for advice on his home entertainment center!) and mix master of music (guess who DJ’d our Fall Mix ‘n Mingle!). And, with all of the Honors programming and Shane’s love for the outdoors, we are sure we’ll be testing a host of Shane’s Eagle Scout skills as well.
Shane is new to the Honors College, although not new to Western Kentucky University. Shane graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems from WKU and has been employed by the University as a student worker, and professionally as a desktop support consultant, a helpdesk consultant and a technology specialist for The College of Education. His skills are in high demand, but don’t worry! The Honors College keeps Shane well-occupied and well…. entertained (we are a pretty amusing group). Technically we share him with Academic Technology, but, hey! we claim him as much as we can! And, he is housed right here in the Honors College, where you can find him sitting behind his quad-screen, dual core processor computer.
On Thursdays, Shane can be seen leaving the Honors Center with some home-make baked goods provided by his wife, Shana, and on his way to meet up with his IT pals. When we’re lucky, Shana graces us with the same honor… sometimes a caramel-chocolate ultimate brownie and sometimes a home-made from-scratch cake, which, incidentally, makes a good meal for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or a snack!
We wonder how we ever survived without Shane. We really do.
