Lindsey Thurman

A native of Russell Springs, KY, Lindsey Thurman represents what getting the most out of your WKU education really means.
Lindsey graduated from WKU in the Spring of 2007 with a Baccalaureate Degree in English and the Honors Program distinction.
Currently she is working on a Masters of Public Administration. You’ll see Lindsey’s picture on the main WKU page from
time to time under the WKU Points of Pride. Lindsey received the NCHC (National Collegiate Honors Council) Student of the
year award. Lindsey has also made her mark as an Inaugural member of the HonorsToppers and now has the privilege of being
their primary advisor.
Lindsey’s title at the Honors College is Admissions Counselor and Recruitment Coordinator, but those are just two of her
many hats. Lindsey is currently involved in the research of gifted and talented studies in higher ed., 20th Century
American history, Kentucky Literature, and Mormon Fundamentalism. Lindsey has also been quite the innovator for Honors.
Lindsey has developed such great ideas as: HonorsToppers, BBQ with the Profs, BioBlurbs, etc.
When Lindsey’s not studying or working diligently in the office (her second home) she enjoys playing with her Jack Russell
Terrier Marley, or watching great TV shows, such as The Office.
