Commencement Committee

This committee meets once in the Fall semester and once in the Spring semester.  It is comprised of representatives of areas that contribute to the planning of the two annual commencement ceremonies.  The committee is primarily responsible for recommending major changes in the ceremony.

International Education Council

The IEC, a group of faculty and staff appointed annually by the Provost, is charged with promoting and strengthening the international mission of the University.  It initiates, advocates, and oversees various efforts to help integrate internationalism throughout the institution and to deepen its impact for teaching and learning at Western Kentucky University.

Quality Enhancement Plan Steering Committee

Beginning in 2004, institutions reviewed by SACS for reaffirmation of their accreditation will be asked to create a plan for the engagement of the institution to improve the quality of its effort toward a particular focus on student learning.  The SACS leadership team have created the QEP Steering Committee to lead and facilitate the development of the QEP for WKU.

Residency Review Committee

This committee meets as needed to hear appeals from students who wish to appeal their residency classification for tuition purposes.  The student can either appeal a residency decision made by the Office of Admissions or the Graduate Studies Office, or may appeal the decision of the Registrar on a request for re-classification.
