Executive CommitteeThe University Senate Executive Committee meets at 3:30 pm in DUC 340 on 8/30, 10/11, 11/8, 12/6, 2/7, 3/7, 4/11, and 5/9. The Executive Committee meets to discuss governance issues and set the agenda for upcoming meetings. Contact any member with issues relevant to governance. Members:Members of this committee are the University Senate Officers, a representative from each college, and the Chairs of the University Senate Standing Committees.

University Curriculum CommitteeThe University Curriculum Committee meets at 3:00 pm on the last Thursday of the month during fall and spring semesters (* with exceptions for holidays). Special meetings are called as needed. Members:The University Curriculum Committee consists of voting members and alternates as well as non-voting advisory members. Voting members are selected as follows: one senate representative and one alternate from each college and the Library are selected by Senate colleagues from the same college. One curriculum committee representative and one alternate are elected from each of the college undergraduate curriculum committees, the college graduate curriculum committees, and the Graduate Council. To ensure adequate representation three faculty members and three alternates are appointed by the Executive Committee. One student senator and one student alternate shall be selected by the Student Government Association to serve on the committee. The Registrar, a representative of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and the deans (or their representatives) of the undergraduate colleges, the Library, and Graduate Studies and Research are advisory members.

General Education CommitteeThe General Education Committee meets at 3:00 pm on the first Thursday of the month during fall and spring semesters (* with exceptions for holidays) in Grise Hall 443. Special meetings are called as needed. Members:The General Education
Committee shall consist of senators, one from each undergraduate
college, who shall be selected by Senate colleagues from the same
college. The Executive
Committee shall appoint three faculty members to this committee.
(The appointed members should normally be Senators, but
non-Senators may be appointed.)
In addition, one student senator shall be selected by the Student
Government Association to serve on the committee.
The selected senators, appointed members and selected student
representative are all voting members of the General Education
Committee. A representative
of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the General
Education Coordinator shall be non-voting advisory members.

Faculty Welfare and Professional ResponsibilitiesThe Faculty Welfare and Professional Responsibilities Committee meets on the second Friday of the month during fall and spring semesters (* with exceptions for holidays). For the current semester the meeting will be held: Committee Membership:The Faculty Welfare and
Professional Responsibilities Committee shall consist of voting members
and alternates as well as non-voting advisory members.
Each college and the library shall select enough senators to
serve on the Faculty Welfare and Professional Responsibilities committee
so that their unit's representation is equal to ten (10) percent
(rounded upward to the nearest whole number) of the unit's senate
delegation. All members are to be selected by Senate colleagues from
his/her unit. A faculty member from extended campus and a part-time
faculty member shall also serve as voting members of this committee.
(These members shall be selected by rotation among the off campus
centers in the extended campus members case and rotated among the
colleges for the part-time faculty member.) One student senator shall be
selected by the Student Government Association to serve on the
committee. A representative from the Office of the Vice-President for
Academic Affairs shall be a non-voting advisory member of this
committee.

Academic Quality CommitteeMeeting Times and Places to be determined Committee MembershipThe Committee on Academic Quality shall consist of voting members as well as non-voting advisory members. Voting members will be selected as follows: one senate representative from each college and the Library shall be selected by Senate colleagues from the same college. Two representatives shall be selected by the Student Government Association to serve on the committee. One representative from the UCC and one from the Graduate Council shall be appointed as voting members. In addition, a representative from the Registrars Office, a representative from the Academic Advising and Retention Center and a representative of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs shall be advisory members.
