AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Dr. Trawick's current research includes the impact of having a same race teacher on the academic achievement of elementary school students, the effects of university structure and funding status on a university's provision of domestic partner health care benefits, and the relationship between religiosity and election results.  In addition to principles of economics, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in labor economics, health economics, and statistics.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Dr. Trawick's recent articles are published or forthcoming in Applied Economic Letters, Applied Economics, American Journal of Economics and Sociology, Education Economics, Journal of Applied Economics and Policy, and Journal of International Business Research.  In addition, Dr. Trawick has presented her research at over a dozen professional conferences.  She has participated in teaching workshops at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and Harvard University.  She is a member of the American Economic Association, the Southern Economic Association, and the Kentucky Economic Association.
