Western Kentucky University is accepting applications for the following position: BB&T Professorship for the Study of Capitalism. This professorship will reside within the Department of Economics of the AACSB accredited Gordon Ford College of Business. Candidates are expected to have achieved or be progressing toward a national or international reputation of excellence in the related scholarship and have commensurate academic preparation.Terminal degree required. Preference will be given to candidates that have an established record of excellence in teaching. Tenure track available. Visiting professorships will be considered. A successful candidate will be expected to:
• serve as director of a center for study of the moral and ethical foundations of capitalism • develop curriculum and teach classes relating the moral and ethical foundations of capitalism • assume an active leadership role in developing workshops, public forums and other activities appropriate to the goals of the center • work to foster scholarly relationships with other University departments and community stakeholders.
