AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Dr. Strow's areas of expertise include labor economics, industrial organization, and economics of the family.  Her current research focuses on using an economic framework to examine how family structures affect investments in children and the children's subsequent outcomes.  She teaches introductory macro and micro economics and economics of poverty and discrimination, as well as introduction to economics for non-business majors.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Dr. Strow serves as co-advisor of the WKU Economics Club and has chaperoned the club on recent trips to Chicago, St. Louis, and Atlanta.  She served as a member of the Citizen's Summit of Bowling Green.   Dr. Strow is currently serving on the Women's Studies Curriculum Committee and the Department of Economics Curriculum Committee.   In addition, she has judged student papers and served as a discussant for the Kentucky Economics Association meetings.   She has also served as a reviewer for the Southern Journal of Economics and the Journal of Applied Economics and Policy.
