The Department of Mathematics enthusiastically extends a warm and cordial invitation to mathematics students, faculty, professionals and math enthusiasts to attend our departmental Annual Mathematics Symposium and to visit the WKU campus on Friday & Saturday, Oct-31/Nov-01, 2008. The theme for this 28th Annual Symposium is "New Approaches to Familiar Mathematics ." However, any mathematics related topics are certainly welcome! Invited speakers include:
Dr. Peter Lax (Courant Institute) and Dr. Jonathan Wellons (Vanderbilt University).
