INTERIM HEAD APPOINTED

Following an inconclusive search for department head, the department of mathematics voted to recommend an interim head from among its present faculty members. The newly declared interim head, who was appointed by Dr. Blaine Ferrell (Dean of Ogden College), is a numerical analyst who took his Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky.  Dr. Mark Robinson is the department's newly appointed head.  Prior to this service role, Dr. Robinson held a departmental appointment as an associate chair in the department.  As a senior member of the department at the rank of full professor, Dr. Robinson is abundantly qualified for his new service role.
