Synthesis, characterization and properties of lanthanide chelate and nonchelate compounds.
Laser Raman and luminescence spectroscopy.
Synthesis and characterization of novel polyaminopolycarboxylic acid ligands.
Multinuclear NMR, especially of transition metals.
Development of introductory and advanced academic laboratories.
