Emergency Medical Technician

An EMT or Emergency Medical Technician drives or rides in an ambulance to the scene of an emergency or accident and provides immediate care and basic life support for the ill or injured. The Bowling Green Community College/Western Kentucky University offers a six-credit hour emergency care and transportation course, Safety 271. Upon completion of the course, the student is eligible to take the EMT certification examination. See "Schedule of Classes" on the home page (http://www.bgcc.wku.edu/) for schedule information.
