James Baker has recently published the fourth volume in his series Creators of the American Mind. Following Nat Turner, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Carnegie is now in print. He was recently interviewed by BBC-Scotland for the Carnegie episode of the series Great Scots.

He has been named general editor of the Creators series, which he originated in 1995, and will help Wadsworth choose and advise other authors for it. Here is the website: http://www.newtexts.com/newtexts/cluster.cfm?cluster_id=19

Since 1998 he has directed the U.S. Internship Program at the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa. Each year during May and June he coordinates the work of 25-35 U.S. students as they work in the offices of Members of the House of Commons and the Senate. For more information on this program click here.

More recently he was named University Distinguished Professor and edits the History Newsletter for alumni. His latest book is a work of fiction, Holidays with Sundae.
