260 PAINTING. 3 HOURS
Prerequisites: ART 105 or 106, 130 and 140 (or concurrently with 105 or 106).
The purpose of this course is to acquaint students with the fundamental techniques of painting. (every semester)
 
360 PAINTING. 3 HOURS.
Prerequisite: ART 260. This course stresses the creative approach to painting media. Emphasis is placed upon developing and understanding of the materials, principles and techniques inherent in a work of art. Outside reading and pictorial investigations are assigned. (every semester)
 
361 PAINTING. 3 HOURS.
Prerequisite: ART 360. This course requires students to apply knowledge, understanding and skills in painting with increased competence and insight. (every semester)
 
460 PAINTING. 3 HOURS.
Prerequisite: ART 361.Research problems in selected painting materials are provided in this course. (every semester)
 
461 PAINTING. 3 HOURS.
Prerequisite: ART 460. This course consists of advanced individual research problems in painting. (every semester)
 
462 PAINTING. 3 HOURS.
Prerequisite: ART 461.This course is a continuation of 461 Painting. (every semester)
 
463 SENIOR COMPOSITION IN PAINTING. 3 HOURS.
Prerequisite: ART 462. Current approaches to composition. (every semester)
 
464 SENIOR TECHNIQUES IN PAINTING. 3 HOURS.
Prerequisite: ART 463. Study and application of contemporary painting techniques. (every semester)
 
465 ADVANCED SENIOR COMPOSITION IN PAINTING. 3 HOURS.
Prerequisites: ART 463, 464. Current formats and compositions in painting. (every semester)
 
466 ADVANCED SENIOR TECHNIQUES IN PAINTING. 3 HOURS
.Prerequisites: ART 463, 464. Experiments with non-traditional materials and innovative techniques in painting. (every semester)
