Career Services Center counselors are available to assist students and alumni with
preparing for their job search. Whether someone is looking for a co-op
or internship, a part-time job during school, a summer job, or a full-time
job after graduation, the Center has materials and counselors ready to
help. From assisting with the preparation and review of resumes,
cover letters and job application materials, to locating company/employer
information, assistance is available both in the Center and on the web
site. In addition, a counselor can guide you in preparing
for employment interviews and by appointment, conduct and critique
mock interviews.
To receive individual assistance, students and alumni must register
with Career Services. Those registered with us may keep copies of
their employment credentials on file with the Center. In addition, individuals
may wish to post their resume online in Topjobs.
Job vacancies are posted on the Center's web site (see "Vacancy listings"
section on the menu to the left) and job
fairs are sponsored each year for students and alumni. In addition,
many employers set up on-campus
interviews in Career Services in order to interview prospective employees.
The Center has a computer lab and many online and hard
copy resources to help with the job search. To meet with a counselor,
call 270.745.3095, e-mail us at Career.Services@wku.edu
, or come by DUC A-230. For more information on preparing for your
