WKU Chorale

MUS 341-001 (CRN 07187; rehearsals MW 1:50 - 2:45, TR 2:20 - 3:40)

The WKU Chorale is the flagship ensemble of the university. This ensemble of 32-40 voices sings music from the Renaissance to the contemporary, and everything in between. The ensemble is open to both majors and non-majors by audition. Click here for more information about auditions.

The choral program at WKU has a long history of excellence in the choral art, having performed at past KMEA conventions and the Southern Division Convention of ACDA. WKU choral ensembles take frequent regional recruiting tours, and have traveled to the east coast and Europe. The WKU Chorale collaborates regularly with the Bowling Green-Western Choral Society and Symphony Orchestra to present major works. These works include the Requiems of Duruflé, Mozart, Garcia and Fauré, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor, Bernstein Chichester Psalms, Poulenc’s Gloria, Haydn's Paukenmesse, Brahms Requiem and Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem, Handel's Messiah and Orff's Carmina Burana.
