Choral Society

The membership of the Bowling Green-Western Choral Society is a mixture of students, faculty, staff, and community members with an interest in choral masterworks with orchestra. The BGWCS is a member of Chorus America, the national organization which serves the needs of independent, orchestra and community choruses. The BGWCS was established in 1993 through the merger of the University Choral Union and Bowling Green Choral Society. In addition to its own concerts, the BGWCS regularly collaborates with the Bowling Green-Western Symphony Orchestra and has performed many choral/orchestral masterworks, including:

Brahms Nänie Orff Carmina Burana
Brahms Requiem Mendelssohn Psalm 42
Fauré Requiem Poulenc Gloria
