Indudeep S. Chhachhi

Professor Chhachhi is the Chair and Associate Professor of Finance in the Department of Accounting and Finance, Gordon Ford College of Business Administration, Western Kentucky University. He earned his M.B.A. and D.B.A. degrees with majors in Finance from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He earned his Bachelor of Technology degree with major in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. He specializes in Corporate Financial Management, Investments, and International Finance.  He teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in Financial Management, Advanced Financial Management and Investments. He also teaches Practicum in Portfolio Management which is part of TVA Investment Challenge Program. Students enrolled in this program manage an equity portfolio. The portfolio was valued at over $174,000 at the end of 1999.

Professor Chhachhi's current research focuses on dividend policy, mergers and acquisitions (and other forms of corporate restructurings), and boards of directors. His research is published in such notable journals as the Financial Management, Financial Review, and Managerial and Decision Economics.
He is a member of Financial Management Association and several other academic and professional associations.
